    Default Godin test

I have , over the last three years, spent far too much money on gear with two very nice USA guitars (PRS and Gibson Custom shop).
But , I have recently played and now ordered a Godin LGXSA , I was blown away by the quality , playability , and sounds , and all for a very fair price.
Have been searching the web and the majority of owners love their Godins.

Yet I have never seen any tested by any mags , the only ones tested made by the Godin group have been the acoustics Seagull , Simon and Patrick , etc.

OK they don't keep changing models , and they may not be that sexy to look at , but they are serious instruments , and seem to be fairly scarce secondhand.

The whole Godin story is interesting in itself, and could be worthy of an article. (Made in Canada , and assembled in the USA).

How about it , perhaps the LGXSA or say something unusual like the Montreal or Flat Five.
    no worries

Guitarist have reviewed a number of models and they did a factory tour a while ago.

Dude, we've reviewed many many Godin guitars, including the models you mention.

there's a full Reviews Database (under 'Back Issues') on the CD, so have a look there.

I think you can rest assured...a couple of virtual-acquaintances of mine have recently added an LGXSA to their collections...the Godin quickly became guitar #1. One chap even sold every other instrument as a result. I daren't try one out...not without a GAS mask ;-)

How do you plan to make use of the MIDIability?

I currently have a Roland GR20 using a GK3 nailed on my daughter encore strat. Works fine on the strat , but of course when using the mix the pups on the encore are ... well encore pups..

I mainly use for home recording (stopped gigging years ago), but I am also very interested in the idea of linking up with some PC software to create Tab/scores , because I am so lazy I never write stuff down and forget how to play some of my own stuff (bet I'm not the only one).
