    Default 'Al McCogan'?

Loved this issue's Andy Summers feature and interview.
Have to say I'm a little confused by Mr Summers' apparent reference to radio in his youth being dominated by the likes of 'Al McCogan', though.
Now, call me crazy, but isn't it more likely that Mr Summers was actually talking about top sixties songstress Alma Cogan?
C'mon, guys! Get with the groovy new music, eh?

Reminds me of the - possibly apocryphal - tale of a journalist, unschooled in the arcane world of jazz, who transcribed an interviewee's love of Bix Beiderbecke to a passion for the work of 'Big Spider Becks'.
