Default Were Martin Taylor and Nigel Slater separated at birth?

After watching the CD-ROM, I ask because:

    >They look a little like each other.
    >They both have the same speaking style (Martin especially when attaching his capo)
    >They're both goddamn geniuses.

That trick with the card was awesome. I got a very different effect out of it, like a Moroccan vibe rather than the steel drum Martin got. Obviously being able to play like a mofo helps.

The article on counterpoint was an excellent one and I'll be studying it more in the future to assist my fingerpicking.

And, checking out more of Mr Taylor's work.

You could say that Nige cooks as well as Martin plays!

How good was Martin's tune, though? Seriously good.

It was an awesome tune. It's not the first time he's impressed me, though. I liked The Valley that came on an earlier disc (I think it might have been issue 252 or thereabouts).

I'm happy about the counterpointing feature in the mag as it's just the sort of thing I've been looking to work into my own acoustic playing.

I love Martin's playing, and his book is one of the best jazz tutours in my (vast) collection, but I must say I bought this month's mag just for that article, and found the lesson a bit disappointing.

    edit:
Sorry, I should elaborate here. I'm not criticising Martin, it's more a case of I think Guitarist promoting it as a video lesson kind of over hyped it. It was more of a hint or tip really imho.
