    Django Unchained.

Simply brilliant. Best film of the decade.

I've just seen Django Unchained and also thought it was amazing.
Great dialogue, superb characters and cool soundtrack. And Sammy J doesn't play Sammy J for once!

    Agreed.

The first AvP was much better than it should have been, probably because it didn't take itself seriously.

But AvPR was very low budget and just sucked.

Have you checked out the Alien Director's Cuts? Much better than the originals IMHO, they explain so much more. My favourite used to be the first film, but I've swung round to Alien 3 Director's Cut now.

Thor. I'd been very pleasantly surprised by The Avengers, already loved the Iron Man films and even Captain America wasn't the complete abortion of a movie I'd feared it would be, but this was. Characters I didn't give a flying fuck about, plot holes the size of the Bristol Channel, hackneyed dialogue and hardly related to the comic at all. Some very pretty CGI, which saves it from being a zero or one out of ten, and I did chuckle at Thor being zapped with a Taser, but still two hours of my life wasted. 2/10.

    Mama.

I really like most Del Toro films and while Mama is really jumpy and quite well made, it lacks the style and depth of Pan's Labyrinth and The Orphanage.
