    Default Tango!

I have decided to go ahead and buy a Harrier strat copy (due to the demise of my Showmaster project), mostly because it's orange and £60! People seem relatively happy with them so it looks like a good cheap base for a project.

I want to go from this:

    To this:

    I like the Charvel vibe.

I've already got the scratchplate, 2 Seymour Duncan pickups, switch, knobs and straplocks. Hopefully I'll get paid next week (self employment is fun! ) so I can order the guitar and the extra bits and pieces.

Any thoughts on tuners? I'm not looking to spend too much on this, it's a cheap project but hopefully cool!

I'm looking to dye the rosewood fretboard an ebony colour, so if you know what I should use let me know!

I'm planning on rolling the edges of the fingerboard and scalloping the top 4 frets.

Can anyone recommend a decent soldering kit, mine is beyond shit!

I took a screen shot then uploaded them to a Photobucket account. Once in the account there will be an address under the pic that you can copy and paste to where you want to post the picture.

There can never be enough pictures of guitars dude!

Very Nice, I am doing the very same thing (almost)

I was going to do the same thing with the Harrier guitars but I picked up a cheap Legend Strat for £20 and it's a solid alder body so I have stripped the black off back to bare wood and I am gonna spray it orange.

Dunno what kind of hardware I am gonna use but mine will hopefully look like this (without the headstock logo)

    Yes I am a lefty

I won't finish mine for a few months due to funding as I am skint.

Ill be very interested how yours turns out as I love the colour orange.
Not sure on my hardware choice yet though.

Well, I've FINALLY been paid after my invoice got lost so I can now get on with this!

I'm thinking of using the hardware that will be coming off the Harrier on a relic project I fancy giving a go. I have few bits and pieces lying around I can play with.

I'll post pics when the guitar gets here.

I absolutely loooove that headstock logo!
Of course, you'd also need the knobs to say "emoluV" and "enoT" too!
