I don't think it is Keith, but that would be really sweet!

    Right! Some pictures.

That's all the pics I could get before the camera said "My eyes!!!!!" Or maybe the batteries went.

It's heavier than I expected, but it a reasurring weight, I don't like it when a guitar is so light you don't know it's there. The cheap Strat copies I've played in the past have been very light so the weight on this was a nice surprise.

It doesn't play too bad at all Keith. It deffinately needs a setup but I've played a lot worse! No sharp fret ends but then again they seem to have gone a bit overboard on the fileing on the edge of the fretboard on some bits. I'm half way to a rolled fretboard already! Bending the strings feels a bit scratchy and the back of the neck feels a bit dry somehow. All thing to sort out.

I haven't plugged it in yet, my amp is under a mountain of stuff I can't be asked to find a space for at the moment, so I can't comment on the sound. All the electonics are coming out anyway.

    For £53 I can't complain!

I ordered the rest of what I need today. Hopefully I can get on with it by the weekend!

    Owned
    Scratchplate
    Seymour Duncan Custom Custom
    Seymour Duncan '59
    Screws
    Switch
    Straplocks
    Pots

    Ordered
    Wilkinson trem
    Jackplate
    Neckplate
    Backplate
    Knobs
    Axes'r'us 'luthiers love' locking tuners
    Graph nut
    String trees

    Fiebeings leather dye

I've been playing the guitar more and it's really growing on me. The neck is chunkier than I expected, it's similar to a Floyd equiped Fender strat I tried recently.

I have everything I need now! (pickups are in another guitar at the moment)

I've waited quite a while to do this so I am looking forward.

The first thing I need to check is the route, I might still need to buy a chisell!

    Here's the route:

    Pickguard sort of in place:

The route is already quite big so there's not much wood to take off which is good.

I've ordered some chisels off ebay (4 for £5), they'll be good enough for this.

I sorted the route, it's a complete hack job but at least the humbucker will fit now.

    Route marked out.

    Shit tools!

    New route

I ended up taking more wood off in the end due to not having a clue! I realized the area I marked out wasn't big enough but when I took a bit more off a big chunk came out so I just went with it.

It's going to a miracle if this guitar is playable by the time I'm finished with it!
