    Default A Wedding

I wrote this piece for my eldest niece and her fiancé, to celebrate their forthcoming wedding. The piece is written in DADGAD tuning. The intro suggests the sounds of wedding bells, while the main tune borrows a few ideas from Celtic folk songs.

...and a bit of Stephen Sondheim perhaps?

Nicely done...reminiscent of early Michael Hedges in places!

I'd written the main tune, but wanted an intro for it. I was playing around with a few ideas, and my wife said 'that sounds like Send in the Clowns', so I wrote another intro, but didn't like it as much as the first, so it stuck. I tried to change it a bit, but it still sounds like it! Darn.

Btw just listening to your classical stuff on SoundCloud. Great stuff. What's the benefit of SoundCloud over SoundClick? There's so many sites to choose from these days, I always used iCompositions but it's a bit obscure.

Thanks! I recently migrated from SoundClick to SoundCloud (and ditched most of my 'material' in the process). I just prefer the look and feel...and it seems to be simpler.

Very nice track and interpretation, Phil.
