Don't forget to add a possible customs clearance fee, not itemised in the duty calculator. Royal Mail for example charges a handling fee (approx. £10) for clearing your package through customs.

I only want my Timmy... it's been stuck in customs since the 26th (which I know is almost no time!). I've heard so many horror stories but I'm worried with getting it delivered to work. Hopefully I'll still be able to pay customs and the like with no issues.

All well and good...except they forget to mention the Parcelforce etc. Handling Fee £8 or £14..

From my experience, its best to use USPS, as they are mopst likely to avoid the customs

You know the handling fee to import to the US from UK is.....a dollar, seriously! and the tax is like 3%.

Also I recently paid for something in dollars on Ebay with a credit card. The exchange rate was better than Paypals. Current rate of exchange minus 2.5% or something, where as Paypal charges 3+% percent with their exchange rate.

...Yep its on the statement now, saved myself £3 on $419 dollars using the credit paying in dollar...lol.

£13.50 charge by Parcelforce if its express mail, USPS Priority mail etc. gets an £8.00 charge. Regardless of value.
