Default Classic UK Recording Studios of the 60s & 70s.

    Hi,

I've just put up a website for anyone who might be interested in the recording studios and gear that existed in the UK in the 60s and 70s and produced the majority of what we now consider classic albums.

Please have a look, hope you enjoy.

    Cheers, Phil.

    That's brilliant!

Can I make a suggestion? On the alphabetical studio list, put the nearest town/city in the link so people can look at studios near where they live?

Great site! A real goldmine of info and entertaining to read too

If I might make another suggestion, it might be nice to have another element to the index where you could search studios by classic albums made there. I know if you really wanted to know you could just check your album sleeve but it would be a nice feature for us more lazy browsers!

    Nice, enjoyed reading too.

Can you add the venerable Cargo Studios to your list? They used a Soundcraft desk apparently.

    Thanks for the comments Guys.

I will add Cargo in the near future. I recorded there many years ago and loved the place. Great Soundcraft series 2 desk, discrete circuitry ,transformer coupled. Nice plate reverb as well.

Nice, but I noticed some spelling mistakes on Odyssey, "two studio where built" and "Polydoor".

Sorry to be critical, it's a great site, but I thought you should know.
