like the site and will be great to see it progress.

not sure if you're trying to make any money out of the site, but the google adds don't really help it and I can't imagine they are a big revenue stream for the site at this time.
my musicians blog http://www.matthewdarcy.co.uk - I'm also selling a Wampler buffer pedal and a Keeley Fuzzhead

About 10 years ago while I was at college we had a tour of the music studios at BBC pebble mill. Really cool 60's building with MASSIVE live recording rooms with capacity to record 100 piece orchestra's individually mic'ed. The recording rooms were anechoic which was really trippy, as when you are in a big hall like space you expect some echo, but it was as dead as yould possibly imagine. If you closed your eyes you would think you had your head under a duvet.

Anyhow, I think a lot of 'live at the BBC' type stuff and also 60's/70's pop records (especially those with an orchestral backing) where recorded there.

We also got shown the location sound studio, which was a truck with a mixing room inside. There were two sets of monitors like most studios, and the bigger ones were hilarious. 20" woofers if I recall correctly, custom built into the wall of the vehicle.

Anyhow, it all got bulldozed a few years ago. All that is left is rubble.
