    Default RIP Kevin Dubrow

I was listening to Quiet Riot at the weekend.

    Great band. Proper cheese.

The Reverend Lord Henry was not one of those new-fangled parsons who carry the principles of their vocation uncomfortably into private life.

There goes another one. Not a QR fan, but it's a shame none the less

I've been a fan of Quiet Riot for a long time, and I am so sad to read of Kevin Dubrow's death.

He was a great, loud-mouthed, but charismatic character. Randy Rhoads joined QR because Kevin Dubrow knew lots of girls. Kevin auditioned Randy when he was playing a white LP, and they formed a happy band. In fact, when Randy left QR to join Ozzy Osborne, he would often still join up with his ex-band mates stating that they had a lot of fun together.

Kevin successfully revived the band by bringing in Carlos Cavazo, who was a fine guitarist, and with Frankie Banali and Rudy Sarzo released a couple of albums. My favourite track is Sign Of The Times.

Kevin paid an excellent tribute to his friend Randy, when he got Randy's Mom to approve the release of the tribute album The Randy Rhoads Years. Nice album which showcases Randy's raw talents.

Only 52. Very sad indeed !!!
