well in my opinion, i'm over the moon ... i've found the vintage tone i was looking for!!
Congrats, my Romany trebled in greatness once it was cranked enough to start breaking up a bit - I didn't find it tooooooo special below that tbh but it was certainly not "bad"!

The Lazy J 20 KILLS the Romany (and just about everything else as well) - which is why I am now an ex-Romany owner

Sorry, didn't mean to upset the OP. I was thinking about other people reading the thread. They owe it to themselves to try a Lazy J.
I like the Cornell a lot but I bought a Lazy J because.... it's just more....
And that is all that matters. If you've found the tone that works for you then bugger any other opinions.
