Default Getting into DIY pedal making

I know there are at least a couple of you guys on here that are into building effects - wondering if you would point me in the direction of any essential reading or sites to check out with reguard to getting started. Not to worry I'm not looking to steal trade secrets or such - just intrigued to dabble and hopefully make some bits for myself. I currently have a fuzz face circuit I'm working on (from what I've read it's the best place to start as it's a simple circuit) or at least trying to get my head around it and the colour coding of the resistors!

All seems like a spot of harmless fun so far!

    Any advice appreciated guys.

www.geofex.com and diystompboxes.com are my top two. Genuine understanding to be had at each.

BYOC are among the easier kits. At least, their instructions are. The pedals are quality too.

It's worth asking ( a bit belatedly) if you want to just put a few pedals together with relatively little fuss (in which case the BYOC kits are excellent) or if you want to really understand how it all works so you can develop your own variations...
