Default Stuff for kids to hit

So, my two girls (3.5 years old) are into hitting things - upturned bins with spoons mostly.

I thought it would be fun to get them something more interesting to hit.

I'm not thinking full drum kit here, but something that appeals to young kids. Maybe acoustic, maybe electronic...

    Any suggestions?

    Yeah, me too.

I was thinking of something a little more imaginative, but it would prob. cost a lot more than I would be prepared to pay.
