Shred texts

Wondering what others use for shred-oriented practice texts.

I tend to use Rock Discipline by John Petrucci but I've had it for years now and looking for some others.

Any ideas?

Have a look at the Troy Stetina series.

Fretboard Mastery is the most in depth book and which covers just about everything.

He has also done a series of metal rhythm/lead books, which are probably a little simplistic, as they're aimed at beginner-type guitarists.

The progressive series may also be worth a look.

Gilberts DVDs years and years and YEARS worth of stuff in them. Great teacher too

I look at a fretboard diagram and look at the easiest way to do things for me... Everybodys hands are different and off you do your own thing it means a lot more.... It sinks in better and is more useable for you

I've got one called Shred Guitar, by Greg Harrison, which is great.

I've also got the Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar book by Troy Stetina, which is good too.
