    Friggin lot of that tied up in the seas!
    The point about Helium is that we cannot extract it chemically from anything else.

    Absolutely, but it's still leaking out into space. I just wondered if there was enough organic material falling into the atmosphere from space to balance it out.

    True. But don't all the Alpha particles from radioactive decay combine with free electrons/Beta particles and form more? Or is the quantity insignificant? If not, that's another good reason to keep on with nuclear power!

    Back to the thread dammit. I wanted to learn about DSR and valve wear.

    There's probably a legal case somewhere about what constitutes a "consumable". I suggest using that as a starting point. Analogy - daylight special bulb. Is that returnable if the daylight is too strong for you?
