After 5 years playing drums (orchestral and kit) I gave up due to work commitments. This was 30 years ago and one stroke later, I've decided to give it a go again. I'm not sure how well this is going to work, so I don't want to spend £££ on kit that may hardly get used, so I'm looking around the £300 mark either used or new.
After much searching DD502(J) looks favorite new
and Yamaha DTXpress used.
I am into cubase, keyboards and midi so I would like something that could talk to my PC as well as having a good thrash with other musically minded mates.
How can I find out the differences between the DD range? DD402, DD501,DD502,DD505 etc? Which support rim shots, choke, multi-zone, drum heads/pads etc
I would really value anyone's thoughts or suggestions. Am I pursuing the right angle on this?
Thanks

So you are looking more into electric drums eh? I am no expert in e-drums but I have tried a DD-502mkII. It really sounds pretty good. I do hope other members would get back at you on which e-drum to get.
