I have a very good condition '93 model Fender Super Amp with 4 10" blue speakers - same circuit as Concert model of the day. Has footswitch, fitted with NOS Philips and Mullard pre-amp valves and has original GE USA output tubes. Added Fender castors that snap out if you don't want them. I had it on ebay but decided to pull it as I simply wouldn't be able to get anything comparable for the money.
I'd rather do a swap or p/ex with cash one way or the other and I want a smaller Fender Blackface or Silverface valve amp with reverb - e.g. Deluxe Reverb, Princeton Reverb, Custom Vibrolux, single speaker Concert - that kind of thing. Might consider a small Boogie, Rivera or other USA amp. Not interested in any Fender tweed amps or Far Eastern amps. This Super is an awesome amp but it is taking up too much room at home and I'd just like something smaller with a similar sound. Must be in really good condition. i live in Surrey, So it has to be practical to meet and exchange - South East only.
Well yes, in many ways - the speaker format and clean sound which breaks up much earlier than more powerful amps. It also has a master volume channel with two separate footswitchable gain controls. Check out the eBay link in my post above and you can see for yourself. There are loads of websites discussing these models. As I understand it, SRV officianados prefer the old blackface supers with no master volume which is fine if you are on a stage where you can cook 50 watts. This I would say is far more realistic and versatile. Hope that helps.
