    Default Cymbal Bag

    Hi.

I'm on the lookout for a cymbal bag.

I want it to have a separate hats pocket. Main section has to have dividers. Needs to be durable.

Seems that some big brands are charging a fortune. Are they worth it? I think the protection racket deluxe was about £80.

    I've seen this.

Anyone know if its up the job? Or will I get all the features with no quality?

You will get all the features, but no quality.

Buy a decent case. Cymabls are what.... £150+ a piece? Probably worth spending a lot to keep them protected.

I have had cheap cases, and none of them have lasted. I would suggest a hardcase for your cymbals, rather than cymbal bag.

    Ok. thanks for the info.

Could you point me in the right direction of a hardcase? Is there any particular brand superior to the others?

Erm... "hardcase" are the brand mate. Failing that, Enduro. Failing that protection racket is good stuff.
Just get on google, its not difficult info to find....

I can see the brand 'Hardcase' but there are others too. (One example: http://www.rhythmbase.co.uk/stagg-st...hard-case.html)

I've found loads on Google, I was just asking if some are better than others.

I will check out Enduro though. Never heard of them before.

Not really, a pro level case, is a pro level case..... Spend the money and you wont go wrong.
Hardcase, Enduro or Pro racket are the "industry" standards.

I use both Hardcase and Protection Racket. Both are excellent. The Hardcase is heavier to carry, but I did manage to pick it up cheap. I think on the whole I prefer the Hardcase case, but it's not because of anything I can really put my finger on in a post. Both are about the same money, but it's an absolutely essential purchase. In fact I recommend buying cases for all drums as an essential purchase.

I've used LeBlonde in the past with no problems either, but my main preference is definitely Hardcase.

Where are you, I've got 2 hardcase cymbal cases in the pile of stuff I'm clearing out. I suspect postage wouldn't be cheap though

Edit - The hardcase ones are nails too. I trusted a guitarist to shut the boot of my car once and one of the cases fell out at 30mph, bit of a scuff on the case but no damage to the contents at all, wouldn't get that with a bag.

I have a Meinl branded cymbal bag.
Cost me £60 from Wembley Drum Centre.
It has held together well so far.
